FLAG-ERA holds Project Meeting on 25-27 March 2015 in Bucharest

The FLAG-ERA Consortium held its 5th Project Workshop and Meeting from 25 to 27 March 2015  in Bucharest.  Prof. Adrian Curaj, the General Director of UEFISCDI (the Romanian Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding) that organised the meeting welcomed the participants.  These included representatives from the European Commission, the Graphene Flagship, the Human Brain Project and the TAIPI project, besides the FLAG-ERA Members.

The main objectives of the meeting were to discuss the status of proposals submitted to the FLAG-ERA JTC 2015 and to  provide an update on the state of play of the integration of nationally and regionally funded research in line with the FET Flagships.  Further, the possibilities of a funding initiative in support of the FET Flagship Pilots were explored  and  interactive exchanges with the FET Flagships and European Commission on recent developments took place. The TAIPI project   lead a session on how the impact of the FET Flagships can be assessed and what methodologies could be envisaged to do so.
